Some people might not like this coaster because it is old and not very original compared to some of the other coasters in the park, but I love it! The positive G's on the two loops are good, not being too much like Titan. I love the back because you get GREAT airtime, and get pulled around during the loops! The track shakes some if you watch it, which is a little scary, but not tons. A great coaster if you want to avoid lines, too, since you can re ride over and over if you go into a seat that there is nobody waiting for! Overall a great coaster! Best airtime in the very back, though!

The loops aren&#39.t fun, they&#39.re just a strain on the neck. But the rest of it is a pleasant family ride. I like the feeling that you sometimes get of falling out when you&#39.re on the inside of a turn.

Other than the mine train, this is the oldest roller coaster in the park and can be seen from the highway. It is also notorious for having many color schemes. My favorite was the white track and yellow supports. The first drop is unique in that there is a bridge connecting the lift to the drop so going into it, the train is almost at full speed. Sometimes there is a good pop of air on the first drop, and sometimes there is nothing, it all depends where you sit. The loops are very intense, pulling close to 6 Gs. After the loops are some drops which are full of negative Gs. My only complaint is that the ride is too short, but overall is a good coaster. I think the Shockwave is better than Mindbender at Six Flags over Georgia.

This is my second favorite rollercoaster at this park. I LOVE it. It is so cool. The best part is when you sit towards the back because you fly over the hills and is way more fun!

I like Shockwave, its fun in the back, because you get great airtime, and the loops are cool. Its relatively short though, and Six Flags doesnt keep it up very well. But, still fun. The lines are always short as well, which is a plus.

This was my first looper and it was alot of fun. It is a little short but back to back loops makes up for it. Plus it is right next to the highway. This is a real fun ride.

Love the Shockwave. I usally ride it three times before I leave the park. Its a short ride and not too rough its a great first non kiddie-coaster ride for the kids and also a good ride to start at when you first get to the park.

Who would ever hate Shockwave? Even though being built in 1978 in a flood-plain to boot, Shockwave is one the the best steel coasters out there. One thing that cant be over looked is its fame being the first double looping steel roller coaster. The ride packs in tons of airtime, great drops (not too bad, so its great for the kids first big coaster), and a intresting track (sqaured/box track). Shockwave also gives riders view of I-30, Johnson Creek, and the rest of Six Flags over Texas.

Another SFoT classic - one of the first coasters built to feature back to back loops. The cars were a little cramped to me and because of my long legs I never got any air time on this coaster. Still a fun ride despite the lack of any kind of themeing.
