Awesome coaster! Either ride in the very front or very back. The very front you get the feeling of speed, but the back you get a nice whip and awesome airtime! Being in the dark is great, and also having the building air condition (besides the top of the hill lift) is great on a hot day. I like that they don't have to unload and load at the same place to save time! Awesome coaster.

It&#39.s a good ride. Thank God it&#39.s in the dark though, that&#39.s where all the thrill comes from. I like the seating, second most comfy next to the titan&#39.s seating

I LOVE this rollercoaster! It is my favorite dark coaster. I like after the middle part after the mid-section brakes how it banks really far over!

Runaway Mountain was a surprise for me, I had been to Six Flags many times and never rode it, but my friend dragged me on the ride...and now I love it. The lift hill is practically silent, and the building is actually...dark! Which is a difference, considering most dark rides like Disaster Transport and Nightmare arent dark anymore. Its fast and is just really heart-pounding, and it fills you with adrenaline. But, my souvy cup spilled on the train and the employees got angry; but theres nowhere to put any carry-ons! Whatever. But, yeah, its a great ride.

this is a great ride. i rode it the day it opened way back a long time ago lol. the initial drop is great because it tricks you before you actually drop. the 90 degree turns are awesome.

Runaway Mountain is really a great ride. I have been on a similar enclosed medium-sized coaster before (Nightmare, now located at Great Escape and, formerly, at SF Darien Lake) and it was, without a doubt, the BIGGEST dissapointment of any coaster that Ive ever ridden. Because of this, I didnt expect much out of Runaway Mountain and was basically just riding for the credit. What a suprise! This coaster was unexpectedly fast, takes you through many steep turns and drops and I was getting the "heart feeling," as I like to call it, on every single one. It was actually DARK inside the building, unlike Nightmare, and this made it even better because you really couldnt tell where you were going. Plus, lines are nearly non-existant on this coaster. RM surpassed all of my expectations and really is an enjoyable coaster. Easily, its one of my favorite rides at SFOT.

SFOT has a winner in this coaster. The darkness adds a great deal to the THRILL of the ride.

This ride was pretty fun, being in complete darkness added to the intensity of this pretty intense little ride. The line was long though.

Runaway Mountain was built in 1996 and is probably Six Flags most recent best themed rides. The idea was genius and the ride is thrilling. The lift is SO quiet and the drops are so much fun. I do warn all riders that the breaks at the end may hurt and watch for the gum in the queue line. Runaway Mountain is gum-central.
