This is my current bottom coaster, and the first (and currently only) one that I did not enjoy at all. The issue with this ride is its extreme roughness and unforgiving/unpadded restraints and seats. This is my only Boomerang for now, but I'm sure that the rest are better than this one.
This is one of the smoother Boomerangs out there, especially with the original trains.
I really love this ride! However, I find it to be very bumpy and it hurts my head.
I loved it. The drop was really intense for me and the loops were thrilling. Backwards was even scarier. It did break down a lot and the line moved slowly.
A better-than-average boomerang to me. It is in a nice location with trees and the queue is right in front of the ride. Boomerangs are fun and this one should not be missed
My first boomerang ride... You can call me really crazy, but I like it. It has a perfect ammount of G-Forces that throw you in your seat. The wait, despite that large que area, is only 5-10 minutes.
This ride ruined my whole day Six Flags. My head took such a beating from the return trip that I had sit down for an hour after. My head was soar and I felt sick all day after I rode this coaster with a stupid concept.
This ride would suck if it was one of a kind. The idea isnt bad, but your head smashes back and forth in the restraint and really kills the ride. Ive rode better Boomerangs, but thats not saying something.
Flashback wins the award for the best boomerang I've been on. Granted that's not saying much, but I will go as far to say that this one is tolerable and enjoyable even in a non-defensive riding position. Can you say that about most boomerangs? I think not.
Relocated from Kentucky Kingdom, Flashback stands out with its vibrant blue and yellow paint job, but I just don't like it for some reason. I don’t know, but the colors just seem to not compliment each other properly and the attraction just doesn’t really seem to fit in with the park all that well in my opinion. Anyway, lines move slowly due to the shuttle nature of the ride, but they are generally pretty short due to the ride’s rather low popularity in comparison to SFNE’s other coasters.
My favorite seat like on all boomerangs is the back thanks to the absolutely incredible first drop, which typically the sole reason why I go on boomerangs again and again. Not only does it have considerable height and speed, but it also nice free-falling sensation that few coasters can match. Prior to my initial ride, I was expecting a bashing, but actually found the first half to be glass-smooth. I was shocked, but could it keep it up during the second half? Again, I was shocked and it did for the most part. There's some minor headbanging on the cobra roll, but other than that, the ride is totally smooth from beginning to end. Past the headbanging, the vertical loop is still one of the most intense and thrilling elements on any coaster, especially while in reverse.
Thanks to the minimal headbanging, Flashback is easily my favorite of the trinity Vekoma boomerangs I've been on. While not as good as many of the park's other coasters, it's worth checking out since it's a credit and actually a decent coaster to boot. Plus, despite it’s low capacity, generally it’s almost a walk-on. Flashback is a rarity for Vekoma boomerangs thanks to its shockingly smooth and very intense ride.
Been there, done that, bought the T-Shirt. Its yet another boomerang. With Zoomerang only 31 miles south, I would suggest you go there and ride that, shorter lines and its smoother. This boomerang is one of the oldest here is though. It started out in China back in 1985, Six Flags bought it and moved it to Kentucky, then moved it east for the 2000 season. Its a fun ride is there is no line, I do like the backwards aspect. Smoother then most boomerangs. Try it if the line is short.
