Now this is a river rapids ride unlike its cousin down in Orlando at Animal Kingdom. Grizzly Peak looks incredible from all around the park and the whole ride interacts with it very well. Unlike traditional river rapids rides, this one relies on drops, drops, and more drops instead of rapids, which I personally really enjoyed. There were quite a few drops, all of which were pretty fast and had good spinning on the way down, with some lucky (or unlucky based on your perspective) getting wet and sometimes soaked. Sadly, not everyone gets soaked or even wet everytime and thats my major complaint with this ride. Luckily I got wet when I went on both of my rides, and even soaked the second, but I have seen far too many come off almost totally dry, with the geyser being the only thing that hit them. Still, the various drops and theming make this rapid ride a standout, but there still are better out there.
This was the best rapids ride I have ever been on. What I liked about it was that it actually used the rapids to get you wet. Most other rapids rides use water cannons or waterfalls or other cheap tricks, but the rapids on this ride were intense, allowing you to get very wet. Plus the drop was huge (as far as rapids rides go). Overall had a great time on the ride. 8/10
An exceptional river raft ride that is right up there with Popeye and may actually be better. Its rare these days to see anything more than an average run of the mill raft ride, but this one changes that trend. I rarely try the river raft attractions at parks, but this is one not to pass up as a top 3 attraction within the park.
Incredible rapids ride that blew me away. The theming and appearance of Grizzly Mountain was great and the ride was pretty long too. There were some pretty drenching rapids during the ride and the final geyser was absolutely drenching, but what I really liked was the two thrilling drops. The raft spun the whole way down and the splash at the bottom absolutely soaked me.
This ride chews up a big chunk of real estate, beautifully landscaped like a mountainous pine forest, with waterfalls and stark rockwork. The ride has a good length, and even starts off rather calmly. Then you hit the lift hill and the real stuff begins. On this hill, when you rise up towards the rocks shaped like a bear, the scenery is spectacular. One the real splashing starts, GRR goes quite well; good speed, good sloshing to and fro, good bouncing off the sides, good splashiness, and the caves you go through are a nice touch. Everyone knows that when this kind of ride has a big drop, whoever goes down in backwards is in for a huge drenching. But GRR has a twist - literally; the raft spens going down the big drop. Then, before you reach the end, the raft has to navigate the random (?) geysers, which might get you a little bit wetter, or might absolutely drench you. This one can take its place alongside Thunder Rapids and Bilge-Rats as the best raft ride Ive been on.
Im torn between giving this a ten or a nine. The line for this ride was long but I fastpassed it. You can see the ride from a long ways away. They ride it self is the best river raft ride I have been on. It has a coulpe of good drops and you can get wet on it. I only got a little wet, which was good because it was a little cold out.
This is the most themed and beutifal water ride disney has thought of yet. I Love it. Sure it kind of like Kali (WDW) but its more intense and yea its bumpy and it smells but you know what... its better then any six flags water ride
My first river raft ride in quite a few years, and its definitely better then the ones I road back then. You can get really wet on this ride (or not at all sometimes) and its super fun when the raft gets spinning on your way down the drops. Ive heard the ones in Florida are longer and better, but this one is a fun ride, especially with the lines. When I was there the wait time was literally 5 minutes or less and I was able to ride continouosly until I felt the need to move on. Heres a video I took of the ride...

Probably the only high point of my trip to this park... Dissapointing compared to the parks in Orlando but this ride is up there with the best raft rides around. Very good and a quite long ride!!!!!
I like the unpredictability of the wetness. In my opinion one should not be gauranteed dryness or wetness. However I would have liked more opportunities for drenching. Since a couple of reviewers have made the comparison between the two I think this is a couple of steps below Popeye Bilge Rats.
