Ouch! For all of you who complain about Vekoma boomerangs and SLCs, Arrow megaloopers, and anything made by Togo, I have one question for you--have you ridden this thing? A stand-up coaster from Intamins early days (I wonder if Intamin wishes it could disown all of their early coasters), this ranks as the second most painful coaster I have ever been on. (The first was PKDs Outer Limits Flight of Fear, before they removed the over-the-shoulder restraints.) The ride started fine, with a good swooping drop into a vertical loop. After that, I cant tell you much. I know there were some more curves, drops, and a tunnel, but the majority of my time was spent concentrating on keeping my head from banging back and forth against the restraints. And I was not very successful. The head banging was constant and unrelenting. An 8 may seem like too high a rating after all of this complaining, but the coaster had a fresh coat of paint, the theming was good (themed to the Penguin, which is the only example I can think of where this villain gets his own ride), and, if you are familiar with my reviews at all, you know that I just cant knock any coaster too much (even though it knocked me quite a bit!).

My first stand up coaster. It was a walk-on, even though I went on a busy day. Best seat? Front left.

I loved this ride. Its awesome to stand up and the themeing, although in disrepair, is the best of any Six Flags ride Ive ever been on. Seems this one has gotten rougher over the last few years and isnt as quite as much fun. Try picking your feet up off the bottom of the ride vehicle. Biggest complaint - the "seat" feels like a bicycle seat gone terribly wrong. As one friend described it, the seat feels like it was designed by a woman who was mad at men when she did it.

If you stand in the front row, its an awesome ride, but otherwise its fairly painful. If youve never ridden it, I suggest you give it a try. If you go in the morning or evening, its usually a walk on.

I loved the theming. (Batman is always my fav. theme) but the ride was pretty painful and the ride looks like its in horrible condition.

Who was the comedian who designed the stand-up roller coaster? This one has the wedgie-support. Got to ride in the front row and it seemed very slow. Nothing to build a trip to Texas around.

Stand Up roller coasters are the Best. I give this one a 9 This is a must ride if your a Coaster Freak Like Me. The only thing bad about it is that your going to take 2 Tylenols after each ride it would be a perfect 10 if it wasnt for my Headache. They should change the name from Astroworld to Tylenol World. 2 of the 10 coasters here will give you a headache

A for effort. D for comfort. Yet another well-intentioned coaster that falls short by throwing you around a lot, banging your head the whole time, and generally keeping you in enough distracting pain the entire ride to not allow you enjoy it much at all. The stand up seats concept is mostly gimicky, and results in very poor harness design. Keep in mind - it may be a "women remove your earrings" ride, but that doesnt mean its more fun. Just the opposite. That just means that they ackwoledge the fact that your head will get banged around quite a bit, but theyve decided to try and tout that as a selling point instead of doing something about it.
