Another Vekoma SLC, the Serial Thriller stands in the spot of the old Excalibur mine train coaster. Though Serial Thriller doesnt really fit in with the Nottingham Village theme of the area, I still really enjoyed the ride itself. I think the pacing of these coasters are pretty relentless, maintaining good speed and flinging riders through exciting inversions. This is the standard model, and it may have seemed a little shakier than some others, but it didnt really hurt my head at all. (It is funny, though, how padded the over-the-shoulder harnesses are.) I guess Im a bigger fan of these coasters than most. Great fun with great visual appeal.

Best steel coaster at Astroworld. This is the only coaster Ive been on with a MAX height requirement (somewhere around 68" - 69". Im 65" and always get measured which makes me feel like Im 5 yrs old again trying to get on the big boy coasters. The ride lost a point b/c I feel like my feet are going to hit. Every time Ive been on the ride Ive had to hold my legs/feet up to feel safe.

My first Vekoma SLC. I really liked it. It had some advantages over the B&M B:TRs because it had a better sense of speed. I really love the diving hill after the double loop. Now I see why there are so many. But what it gains in excitement it lacks in smoothness. After about the 5th row of seats the ride starts to get pretty jerky. But it still gets an 8.

this is one of the worst SLC models. it is WAAAY to shaky. Also, its theming (theming meaning the entrance sign because thats all the theming there is) RUINS the rest of that areas theme. i give it a 2

This ride beats you up at every park you see it in but will live on in AstroWorlds Dinosaurs of Steel Coasters Exhibit.

Not a good inverted coaster. I couldnt enjoy it cause all I could think about was how much my head was hurting. Go to Sea World or SFOT for a good interved coaster.

Ladies and Gentelmen, Boys and Girls We have your Extra Strength Tylenol As Soon as you get off of this ride I would love to give it a 10 if it wasnt as rough as it was. This ride has everything that you want a Steel Coaster to offer. Everything but the Headaches LOL This is a must ride if you go to the park but dont forget your football helmet I give it a 8

The several twisting loops would be much better if it werent so rough. Like Batman the Escape, its a "ladies remove your earrings" ride, so at least theyre advertising the fact that its a headbanger. Take that as a warning though. Thrilling, yes - but its also a bit painful, somewhat short (1:35), and usually has a long line since its relatively new and has a high "visual wow factor". Overall, youll step off saying "that was good, but I sure did wait in line a long time to get my ears boxed."

This ride is great! Who cares if its a bit bumpy! Its got inversions galore! No wonder they replaced Excalibur with this. Its got 3 twist, 2 half loops, and more. Best out there! P.S., its not as painful or bumpy as people say. I rode it with the flu once and it actually healed it!
