This ride was weak. Not only were people waiting too long to ride it, but it is too short and just isn't much. My expectations were high when I saw they used Aaron Eckhart in the pre-ride video. The themeing up until you get on the ride is great. Then you ride the ride, the themeing is very random and kind of stupid. Its a typical wild-mouse, over-breaked, no real sensation of being tossed over the turns, and its in the dark. This is a mild ride. Don't build it up and maybe you'll have fun.

The Dark Knight movie was a great thing to theme a roller coaster after, and six flags did a great job. The dark knight, starts you out in the queue, watching the real Harvey dent during a press conference. The Joker interrupts with spray painting the walls and scaring the guests, and showing clips of psychologically unnerving things. Moments later you evacuate into the Gotham city rail. The coaster twists and turns you around every which way, all the while being taunted and attacked by the jokers men. The effects are pretty good, although not Universal quality. Some of the drops on the coaster are quite unexpected and so are the turns. The last effect once you hit the brakes is a bunch of the jokers mechanical men jumping out at you, which I admit got really freaked out by, because I wasn't paying attention. Overall for younger kids and families this coaster has quite the scare factor. The theming is great, the coaster is quite thrilling and the overall ride works great.

The dar Knight coaster is one of the best indoor roller I ever been on. The reason why I like it so much is the crayz mouse in the dark. And you don't know where you are going and its supper fast. And you are riding thourgh the different sceans of the moive and put you right in the middle of the action. And its feel like I 'm the moive Dark Knight.

I finally got around to riding this coaster on 10/10/08. There wasn&#39.t much of a line, I waited about 20 minutes in total. The pre-show wasn&#39.t all that spectacular and I was a little bummed that you still have to wait after exiting the pre-show!

The ride itself was actually a bit better than I thought it would be. Most wild mouse coasters are fairly slow or have a lot of braking on them. This one seemed to have no brakes at all and the turns were taken really freakin&#39. fast! To the point where upon entering a turn I would think &quot.oh crap...&quot. A couple of the dips were taken pretty fast as well, especially the big one 3/4 of the way through that had some serious air. My stomach actually dropped a bit on that particular dip. an amazing feat considering that it rarely happens on coasters like El Toro or Nitro.

The scenery was sub-par for the excpetion of the van with the stuff in the back. Most of the time the car would zoom by the props with barely any time to see it. I agree with bumprnugit that some strobes would have really helped this ride considering the effect that the camera flash had.

All in all it was a decent wild mouse. It&#39.s no replacement for the wonderful ball of steel that was the Chiller, but I guess it&#39.s something.

I love this ride. It&#39.s a great family ride. I agree with most of the postings regarding this ride that there was a lot of hype for a &#39.gentler&#39. type ride. I guess everyone expected SFGA would have put in another monstrosity of a coaster after spending that amount of $ for it.
But this ride is an awesome Crazy Mouse. It is made well and the tracks are thick. Not like on the boardwalks where the tracks are narrower. It rides very smoothly. I love that it is indoors although the props are kind of cheesy. Doesn&#39.t compare to Universal or Disney. Therefore I am giving it an 8 instead of a 10. But great ride to bring the kids on to get them used to coasters and a stepping stone to the giant coasters.

I really hesitated posting a review of this ride because I found it so middle-of-the-road that it really did not seem to warrant the time or effort. But here I am, posting against my better judgement. So here goes. Fortunately this was a walk-on for me, but the first thing I said after getting of the ride was -Meh-. The pre-ride show (a trend I am really beginning to dislike as it just seems like a hurry-up-and-wait tactic) was enough to keep my attention, but in the end this is just a Wild Mouse in the (sort-of) dark. The on-ride scenery is really uninspired. It reminded me of an OLD arcade game in which you controlled a water cannon atop a ladder truck that actually sprayed H2O at buildings with lit panes of &quot.glass&quot. simulating a raging inferno. Closing your eyes during a &quot.dark night&quot. on any standard Wild Mouse would offer just as much a surprising experience, if not more. The only time I really felt disoriented was when the photo flash temporarily dialated my eyes (had there been strobes throughout the entire course, that would have been quite an experience, although it likely would have set off more than a few seizures.) I recommend riding only if the line is reasonably short, otherwise wait until the hype has passed and get your track credit next year. I will throw a bone here and give B:TDK a generous 7, rating it against it&#39.s peers.

*SPOILER* I rode the Dark Knight about a week ago on a very hot afternoon. Overall, Dark Knight is a good ride. The line wait was not unbearable in the heat since it is under a canopy. The two tvs outside had me singing along with a few of the songs. One I remember specifically was &quot. All My Exes&quot. by George Strait. Every once in a while the sound of an extreme crash could be heard. I don&#39.t recall this during the ride, so I assume it was part of the outside theming. Since everyone was hot and sweaty and sticky, we were relieved to find the pre show holding area AIR CONDITIONED!!! That itself made this ride worth the 45 minute wait.

The show is set as if park guests are in the sudience of a press conference discussing Gotham City&#39.s most recent crime wave. I also tried to pay attention to the messeges running below the screen, which mostly summarized the show, but also stated something about a delay or closure on I-76! When the tv screen started to flicker, I actually thought that there were real technical difficulties, but of course, it was in fact the Joker &#39.hijacking&#39. the press conference! I am so gullable! Other than the HAHA and Why So Serious? lights on the wall, I can&#39.t remember what the phrases were. I am a sucker for colored lights, so I enjoyed that part.

After the preshow, we are feeling quite comfy in the AC and take notice to things around the queue line in the dimly lit station. It appears we are in a control room of some sort, but one that&#39.s not taken care of because of all the (stuffed) rats all over the place. My friend thought it&#39.d be a great idea to have a mechanical rat scurrying underneath the queue line ramp to scare people! As we turn up the second part of the ramp there is a screen that is videoing everyone walking by, but don&#39.t get too close! The Joker has hijacked this as well, putting joker faces on all who walk by! This is the only ride at Great Adventure that does not have gates on its loading platform. I don&#39.t think the mouse cars stop moving either, but I&#39.m not sure. That part happened very quickly.

The ride itself is a typical wild mouse ride, but it is very heavily themed. The arrow at the top of the lift hill points in the opposite direction that the car actually goes. Many hairpin turns, several unexpected drops, lots of lighted HAHAs and the Joker laughing hysterically at every turn makes this a better than average mouse ride. I was in the front seat and was unable to see the track most of the time. The picture of myself taken on this ride made me laugh and my pure thrill screaming at every element made my riding buddies laugh!

I would definitely go on this again, but to do all the coasters in one day at this park, this ride will probabaly not get a reride from me. I almost wanna go see the movie now!

so i rode the dark knight coaster after reading many negative comments about it. the pre-show was really good, and it felt like something at a disney park. there was good theming on the line too. as for the ride, i really liked it. its probably cuz i was expecting a regular wild mouse, and it was better than the average wild mouse. it had good speed, good drops, and good theming and scenery. it is a great ride for families to ride together on. would i wait 2 hours for it? no, but i&#39.d say its worth no longer than a half hour wait. if its a busy day, use the flashpass, which is what i did, or wait till later at night when the line is short

My first "new for 2008" coaster was a pretty good one. The ride felt faster than your traditional wild mouse, do to it being dark and apparently, had very little braking. The trains were "bigger" than traditional mouse trains, but you could still feel pretty good lateral Gs. I can only hope that SFGAd continues to run low on the brakes for this new attraction as the years go on. The themeing was good, but not really mind-blowingly spectacular. My favorite bit of themeing was right at the top of the lift, where there was an arrow that pointed to the left, and the train then executed a lateral-heavy right-hand turn. I also liked at the end of the pre-show when all the “HAHAHA” lights appeared in the room. It really seemed to scare the crowd. This ended up being my favorite Wild Mouse, a breed that I usually like anyway. Overall, if Six Flags is going for families over thrills these days, Dark Night is a viable replacement for the unreliable Chiller.

The positives for this ride begin at the cue line where large TV monitors show highlights from past American Music Awards and American Bandstand shows. After the cue line, you enter a themed staging room to watch a well-done TV broadcast warning you that The Joker is on the loose in Gotham City. You then enter a short second cue line (also themed) to get on the ride itself. The loading is the fastest I have experienced for a wild mouse coaster. You step on to moving cars in groups of four without seat belts (like an Orlando attraction). The modern cars are large and unusually comfortable and the ride is not all that scary, so families with smaller children can ride together. The ride itself is a typical wild mouse track layout, but with heavy theming along the whole route. It is not so much a dark ride as a night time ride, like Men in Black at Universal Studios. The coaster portion of the attraction goes by quickly making it hard to take in all the themeing along the sides of the track in just one ride. I see that as a good thing, making re-rides more interesting. Overall, it was a surprising good attraction for a park outside of Orlando.
