Fun if you have the time. I cant believe oridnary people would do this stuff just for the fun of it. Its pretty disgusting at some points to. The y really get the audience into it.

I am not sure where to put this or if I should write a review of this at all. I saw the HHN version of Bill and Ted on this stage. Now this is a show that is only shown one month a year and is different each season. The B@T is a huge parady of pop culture and does not even attempt to offer anything scary, it is manly just in your face humor that was quite edgy for a theme park. This year we had a gay Superman, female versions of Bill and Ted, Samuel L Jackson, green screen effects guy and of course huge rips on Tom Cruise. there was also some extremely hot chicks and tons of random dancing. If you have never seen this show I would highly recommend it as one of the funniest theme park shows ever.

I thought it was very well done for a theme park stunt show that uses guests instead of stuntmen. They worked with what they had, and I think they made a great merge of an NBC hit and Universal Orlandos high standard. The final stunt was the best part, I really thought that was thought out pretty well by the producers.

I was a contestant opening week end on June 15th 2005 and won this fear factor test with 4 others. Believe me it is much harder to do, when you are the person. The safety practices are excellent. The sad thing is Universal S. Promised me that I would receive a Free Fear Factor Game in the mail for winning and as of now 10-1/2 moths later no prize and I have called several times to there public relations Dept. If you go there try it, very fun and tiring. You could win a tee shirt, hat & several free park passes. As for the game possibly some day??

I like it for what its worth - never being a fan of the real show, it was entertaining. The stunts were somewhat tame compared to some of the crazy crap they pull on TV but that is to be expected for a theme park show (they can only do so much in limited time and space). The park guest contestants are cool, especially when you know one of the people competing, and the un-planned nature of the show makes it very re-doable (not a word!). Though the eating things part still creeps me out :puke:

I am a huge, huge fan of the Fear Factor television show and I guess I was expecting a little too much from the Live show. The fear and danger that is present in the television show just isnt there in the Live show and the hosts are, in my opinion, corny, annoying and not-so-funny. Its a good show to watch if youre tired of being on your feet and want to relax in the shade for a while... otherwise, Id say skip it and go on to something more exciting in the park.

I dont think this show was that big of an improvement over the Wild West Show. The show involved doing some "fear" inducing, but very controlled stunts with just about no danger involved. The contestants were park guests playing for 4 free park tickets. There was some recycled material from past Universal shows involved (like the building front collapsing from the wild west show (which was actually taken from a Buster Keaton movie) and the bugs on the head bit which was taken from the Directors show at Halloween Horror Nights 2003). I also absolutly do not believe that the bit that involved forcing park guests to eat a smoothy made from rotten milk, rotten meat, bugs, and other nasty stuff was real. The mealworms I believe since they are harmless, but a theme park could not possibly feed people rotten meat or milk. It was probably milk with jello in it, plus the power of suggestion.

It looks like when Fear Factor gets taken off the air, it would be almost zero downtime to remove some fear factor signs and to take up the paved signs to return to the Wild West Show.

I dont really like Fear Factor on TV that much, and this didnt make me like it any better.

It was all right, but not too exciting. The shows even more entertaining than this, but Im not saying it was a waste of time. Seeing as they do the same things for every show, I wont give away too much, but it was your typical fear factor; eat gross stuff, withstand bugs, and take physical limits to the extremes. I was really surprised that they did a lot of that stuff live. Its definitely a great idea for this show to come to stage because itll be a lot more entertaining than others, but it isnt very interactive and not all too exciting, but enjoyable and worth the watch if you pass it on your way and theyre letting people in.

Fear Factor Live at Universal Orlando is a dramatic recreation of the TV show. Everything youd expect from Fear Factor is there from the danger and excitement, to the food and of course, creatures. This action packed 30 minute show is housed in the old Wild! Wild! Wild! West Stunt Show theater and still contains some of the original set design. Arrive one hour early if you want a chance to be one of the six main contestants (18+ and weight limit). Contestants compete in three stunts first head to head eliminating 2 people, and then the winner of the first stunt chooses a team mate. The winning team of the 2nd challenge then faces off in the final stunt. To keep the show moving along during the challenge set-up, audience members are chosen for two challenges involving food (Fear Factor smoothies)and animals. My favorite was the Desert Hat Ordeal where a teenager had 6 live scorpions crawling on and around her head courtesy of the Wheel of Fear. Kids and teenagers can also participate by creating distractions for the contestants by activating water and wind effects. Universal has done it again, by breaking down the barrier between TV and reality. Dont miss this show unless of course, you have a weak stomach.
