There is little to no difference between this carousel and any others, but doesn't give a poor experience.

An unfortunately absolutely bastardized carousel, built in 1917 and spoiled for Magic Kingdom's opening in 1971. The carousel as configured and painted is boring, incorrect, and of pretty high capacity (one positive in a sea of negatives). I will concede that it looks reasonably attractive, but it is not as it should be. Those with appreciation of the art of carousels will not enjoy this ride, adults in general will likely find it boring, but children don't know the difference and will probably ride willingly.

Basically if this were removed it would free up alot of walking space. You don&#39.t have to go to Disney to ride a simple Carousel that you can ride at the mall. Come on, get rid of it already it&#39.s 30 years old!

Cinderellas Golden Carousel is downright the most beautiful looking carousel Ive ever seen. Its fun for those who like these types of things... heck, its juts nice to look at. Theres not much more to say here since really... you just kinda spin around while going up and down on a really good looking plastic horse. Whats NOT to like? If theres a short line you should definitely try it out but if the lines long youre not gonna miss much by skipping it. If you have kids they should have a ball. 8 out of 10.

This is an absolutely gorgeous carosel, but the ride isnt really that great. I think it would be better immobile just as something to look at

Carousels are an amusement park staple, especially if they’re classics like the ones found at Knoebels, Lake Compounce, and the list goes on and on. Sometimes large franchise parks are fortunate enough to obtain one, but as I’ve witnessed from many of the larger chains, they are apathetic towards their beauty and just let it rot away or tamper with it. Has Disney acted any differently towards their classic PTC carousel? I wish I could say yes, but the answer is sadly no.

Located in Fantasyland, it’s undeniable that from a distance that the carousel is an absolute beauty with all of the detail embodied on it, and miraculously it just gets even better at night with the bright lights proudly illuminating it. However, upon closer inspection, it’s apparent that Disney modified this classic to become more “Disney-ish.” Instead of maintaining the carousel’s classic, hand-carved horses, Disney foolishly repainted each horse white and modified their chassises to be consistent with Cinderella’s famous horses. Also, the classic band organ has been replaced by standard Disney tunes. Now don’t get me wrong; I enjoy a good Disney tune here and there, but not at the expense of a classic band organ.

Off of my rant, generally this is a walk-on thanks to the carousel’s gargantuan capacity. Once seated on one of the many identical horses, riders are treated to a ride no different than any other carousel in terms of the ride itself except for one thing- this carousel gives far and away the shortest cycle of any carousel I’ve ever been on! I don’t even think my total ride time eclipsed one whole minute! Now I know Disney is crowded and all, but I would gladly take waiting an extra cycle rather than come off an attraction unsatisfied.

This review probably makes my disliking of this carousel pretty apparent thanks to Disney tarnishing it of its original glory and the outrageously short cycle. However, while that is true, for what it is it actually is pretty average for a carousel despite its shortcomings since it still is undeniably one of the most beautiful carousels I’ve been on. So do I recommend it? Not really, unless you’re an absolute die-hard carousel fan since there are bigger, more original fish to fry while at Disney.

This is one of only 2 5-row PTCLs left in existence. I donLt care if itLs in Disneyland, it wouldLve done more for me if the horses were left in their original colors, instead of all re-painted white.

Its a nice carousel to ride with kids but I thought Disney would have used something other than horses for the theming.

This carousel has nothing going for it except its good location and above-average looks. It lacks: (1) any variety in the horses (2) any buggy seats and (3) a band organ. On balance, a disppointment as a centerpiece ride for such an important park.
