I really do like coming across unique or interesting flat rides, and Raging Seas at Darien Lake is certainly one of them. As others have mentioned, its motion is very reminicent of what youd find on a himalaya/musik express, except that there are individual cars that go back and forth while riding up and down the "seas". What results is a thoroughly enjoyable and fun ride, as you sometimes go forwards, while other times backwards. The ride is pretty quick and has a nice cycle, and although it isnt overly intense or full of thrills, it is still good and definitely worth a ride due to its uniqueness.

Well maintained. Fun. Rerideable. Ride capacity small. Ride duration average.

Kind of an unusual little flat ride. At first glance it appears to be a kiddie ride, but its actually appropriate for all ages. Little two-person ships bounce along the circular track, apparently simulating rising and falling over the ocean waves. Its sort of like a himalaya flat ride, except there are no real lateral g-forces here. Part of that could be due to the fact that the ships pivot around throughout the duration of the ride, so youre sometimes traveling forward and sometimes backwards. Its not very intense, but it is fun and different.

A very unique flat ride which I cannot figure out the make and model for. The ride is sort of like a Himalaya/Musik Express, but the cars rotate on a vertical axis as it peaks on the wave crests of the "raging seas". You can tell the ride is older, and can be a bit rough in the transitions between forward movement and backward movement. A pretty fun flat that isnt too fun nor intense, but interesting to say the least.

Great ride if you want to get close to a cute girl (or guy)! Kids seem to enjoy this ride, and the line could be pretty long as well. I wouldnt recommend riding unless you have free time... which you will have because of a lack of things to do there!

It;s not the flying bobs. It looks like it in a way, but you sit in these boat like contraptions that move around the outside of the ride and also move up and down and back and forth like on the high seas. Not exactly thrilling, but I give it an 8 because of its uniqueness.

Im pretty sure that this is the flying bobs ride. If not, ill correct it. This ride is pretty fun. It goes on resonably long and kinda fast. Its better when you go on by yourself on this ride. Its really relaxing (even though its not meant to be)
