Date Ridden: Summer of 2007. Times Ridden: 1 for a total of 2 laps. Ok, first of all, while not bad this ride is nowhere near Desert Storm in terms of thrills or any other category. It is a fun little junior coaster with lots of themeing for this type of ride. While going up the lift hill, check out the numerous celebrity and other famous characters which are sketched in a caricuture style. If you have ridden Woodstock Express at Cedar Point, Woodys Nuthouse Coaster at IOA or Canyon Blaster at SFOG, that is about what you have here. Its good for the credit but is not the main reason you visit this park. It gets the standard 5 grade.

Patriot was a pretty good junior coaster. The first swooping drop was decent and the various twists and turns were smooth and had some good headchopppers. One of the helixes was pretty fast and produced some pretty good Gs.

It has a couple decent head chopper moments and small turns, but this is nothing to write home about...then again in Arizona, the Patriot is like our magnum xl-100...just sad

This is a really fun junior coaster... although the trains are small they dont cause a problem untill the last few turns. While going up the lift hill there is a long mural with paintings of different celebrities. It had, Barry Goldwater, Whoopie Goldberg, Mickey mouse, and many other strange pictures LOL After the drop the train goes into a small twisting drop followed by a head-chopper right under a palm tree. The train then goes up a small hill followed by some ending turns. The ending turns caused a problem for me because I banged my knee against the side. But all in all this is a really great Hopkins junior coaster!

I love this little coaster as much as Dezert Storm because of sentimental value.

this coaster is better than their other coaster, it actually has pretty good speeds and very sharp turns... altho it is a junior coaster its pretty well built
