I love roll-o-planes. The only one I ever rode was at a fair tho. It was like I was out of control falling!

Satellite is a flat ride. It is average speed, fun, rerideable, it has a large capacity, and a long duration.

It's like being trapped inside of a clothes dryer that has been pushed over a cliff. Kind of scary when your full weight leans against the door and the pin holding it closed.

Very fun! Children and adults will both find this exciting, although the seating is a bit awkward as well as uncomfortable.

Best roll-o-plane Ive been on. The ride looks great and I love how close the ride comes to nearby trees. Vertical as always was very fun and gave great sensations, while horizontal was rough as usual. Knoebels ran this with a very long cycle though, the longest Ive gotten on these types of rides.

Historic, but painful.

A surprisingly fun classic ride that was only hindered by the massive bruising it causes on the left side of your body. I am glad I went on it, but I would probably not go again.

I gotta give this a 6 on the pure fact that it was painful. However, the ride itself wasnt as bad as orginally thought. Parts were actaully funny, I couldve done without going the other direction one time around was just enough.
A story though that made it a little better was riding while the others in my party were at another attraction with my brother, who begged me to become stronger and brace myself so his arm wouldnt be crushed. Also, the fact that again we were actaully too fat for the ride (this was the second time that day). The ride attendent actaully had to pump the start button to get us going.

The Satellite was a thrilling, classic flat ride at Knoebels and the only roll-o-plane I have ever been on. Located to the right of the main entrance, the Satellite occupies a small amount of space. With trees near the ride, the rides motions come close to the trees creating some exciting moments for riders. With a red base, the Satellite has two white cars on each side of the arms. Each car sits 4 people and 2 people face forwards and 2 face backwards. Unfortunately, the Satellite has a horrendous capacity, only holding 8 people per cycle. That creates a slow-moving line. Fortunately its line rarely exceeds 5 minutes. Once you board the small and cramped cars, you are locked in and restrained by a bar. When the ride begins you spin around and never actually go upside-down. Instead you twist at the last second. Diving towards the ground is fun and exciting. Unfortunately it is somewhat rough. The worst part of the ride is the horizontal part when the cars twist because you are thrown around the car which was somewhat uncomfortable. You get a decent ride cycle. Overall, a fun thrill-ride that is still fun after many years. Only people who enjoy thrill-rides should ride this. Its better to ride with two people so you arent thrown around the car during the horizontal part.

This is a rough one to rate, and to ride. I love the spinning, but its been 3 days and my shoulder is still sore. Try as I might, the car was too big to brace myself securely, even on the second ride knowing full well what was about to happen. Since the plane of the spin changes from vertical to horizontal, what works to brace in one direction doesnt in the other. I absolutely preferred riding on the inside of the car with another person to fall on to cushion the car. I doubt the person I fell on feels the same....Yet between bruises, the ride & sensation were magnificent. Zooming towards the trees I just wanted to grab the needles. I want to ride it again, but Ill absolutely try to ride it with another person for cushioning and better bracing.
