Basic shoot the chute. Nothing special.

Do you have some thing against shoot-the-Chute rides? you I have not seen you give one a good rating. if fact you seem to have a grudge against water rides in general. whats up with that?

water rides are my favorite kind but basic shoot the chute rides dont really do anything for me. i gave escape from pompeii a good rating and thats a shoot the chute but with a theme. i also like log rides like le scoot, daredevil falls, and splash mt. is my favorite ride ever. the only rapids ride i really like is kali river. but i do like water rides just not basic ones this one. i like the themed ones better just like i like theme parks a lot better than amusement parks.

I agree with metssuck. The best type of ride is a water ride and a log flume to be specific. Plain water rides really dont do anything for me. Themed water rides are the best! (Splash Mt.)

I get your point but most parks cant afford to add an Escape From Pompeii style chute. From what I heard the landscaping around Congo Falls is thick and some what separates you from the parks midway. again your arguments are New Style thats bigger and evolved are great but everything else sucks. Is my impression Wrong.

i didnt think the landscaping was good at all it was average but not good enough to make you "escape the midway". i was very dissapointed in this park. i though paramount parks were supposed to be theme parks not glorified amusement parks. and by the way i admitted i was wrong before so admit your wrong with the daredevil falls, splash mt. thing.

what about there opening dates. There both Hopkins super-flumes. Though Splash Mt is using an in house boat. I cant find dates so I dont know if Im wrong but I might be. The paramount parks were never built as theme parks. They were amusement parks that were bought by a theme park company. like most of the SFI properties it doesnt make them theme parks. they simply added themed rides. The park is around 45 years old and didnt become a paramount park tile the early 90s.

in my opinion every six flags and paramount park i have been to suck. ill take good old kennywood or the roller coaster capital cedar point over them anyday if i want to go to an amusement park. and daredevil falls opened in 1998 and splash mountain opened in 1992 so splash is older.

OK I was wrong about the dates thanks for the corrected info. as for park which SFI properties have you been to. i have been to a few and they some are good while others are just bad. and Im a bit surprised you said Kennywood was nothing special in one of your reviews.

kennywood isnt special but atleast they have all the rides running instead of six flags parks. i have been to darien lake, geauga lake (when it was six flags worlds of adventure), and the great escape. and paramount parks i have been to kings island, kings dominion, and canadas wonderland.

So you havent been to one of the original SFI parks. SFOG is a must see park. Im a bit surprised you didnt like TGE. While not a mega park Rides re normally up and staff is reasonably friendly.

we went steamin deamon and the bobsleds were closed. the log ride was only open part of the day and i didnt think the staff was that friendly. atleast they had the comet open. that is obviously the best ride in the park and the best woodie i have been on.

Notably true ii is a great. coaster. bobsled is down a bit. It has to close early do to neighbors complaining. Steamin demon is rarely down. Thats a surprise. Bu ti havent been to the park in a couple of years (July of 05). so some things may have changes. I find the atmosphere better at TGE then at most SFI parks. The Village main st is my favorite are of the park.
