 Review of Raging Bull @ Six Flags Great America

I thought I was justified in expecting a similar ride to Apollos Chariot and Nitro based on their comparable length, first drop and car design.

I rode twice in the back because that where I enjoy the hypers the most. Boy, was I disappointed and am torn if this deserves a 7 or an 8. The air nowhere near the level of AC or Nitro (or many other steel coasters I can list). The ride was smooth and it did move at a fast clip but I just didnt find it all that and thrilling. Again not a bad ride but not enough to make me want to reride over and over again

Wow we are definately off on our approval of rides a SFGAM. This and Viper are my two favorites by far and you were disapointed in both. Oh well at least you liked the park.

SFGAM Looks like one of the best SF parks in my opinion. Raging Bull looks like a great ride, although not on par with Apollos Chariot. How was the first drop on this?

Swimace - I did not find the first drop very impressive. The first drops on other hypers MF, Magnum, Steel Force, Nitro, AC, S:ROS (all three), Desperado, Phantoms Revenge and even Goliath were all better in my opinion.

I have only been on two other hypers (Magnum and Desperado) and both seem lame compared to the Bull. Desperado is a rough piece of crap that needs to be demolished, and Magnum was fun but is showing its age. Raging Bulls nice twisted layout was a welcome change from the usual hyper, and overall I think its a fabulous ride.

I definitely can agree with being torn between the 7 and 8. I rode this Monday and while it was fun it wasnt on the same level as Nitro and Apollos Chariot.
