Review of Lost Coaster of Superstition Mountain @ Indiana Beach
2 Rating Posted by: CrystaCstr on 8/27/2002 7:39:00 PM
As much as I love Indiana Beach, their other coasters, and woodies in general, LoCoSuMo is easily the biggest mess of a wooden coaster Ive ever been on. The trains are so bouncy and jerky that you cant ever enjoy the ride and this comes from someone whos a regular at PKI and loves the two Beasts. I knew not to look for a regular CCI, a smooth ride, and anything of that nature, but the half-finished nonsense and headache I left the ride with just wasnt fun at all. I would be lying if I gave it a higher rating and was originally going to hand over the 1/10. I really hope IB does something to it over the off-season, because for now, Im not favoring the ride at all.

IB has alot to do in the off-season. Remember, they couldnt fix the problems directly after teh first couple runs because CCI was no more, so they were left int he dark for engineers and teams to solve the problems.

In addition, as it turns out, CCI cut some serious corners on this ride (prolly because they knew they were headed out the door), so theres mistkaes on this thing right and left. I spoke with some people on Saturday, and they relayed all the things CCI screwed up and didnt do... some day Ill post the whole list under a different name, but until then rest assured that the IB team is working to solve the problems during the off-season. Theyve already fixed a couple of the major ones at that.

I do ask that you make it a point to ride it again next season and, hopefully, update your review. This is a great ride, and will be given the chance to shine once its done paying for the sins of CCI.
