My journey really started on the night of August 19, when I hit the road directly after work. I was had planned to make the trip as far as Washington, PA, and then finish the trip to Indiana Beach the next day. The plan went well, though I hit some nasty traffic and really nasty thunderstorms on the way.
Friday was more of the same from the night before. It just kept raining. Even worse, I hit stopped traffic just as I entered Indiana, where they closed the entire highway for an accident. I finally made it to Indiana Beach at about 5PM. I set up my tent in the campground and headed over to the park. I decided not to take my camera this night, since rain still threatened, so all of the pictures you see are from the following day, and are pretty sparing at that.
After registering for the event, I head for Lost Coaster of Superstition Mountain, affectionately known as LoCoSuMo. Yes, I passed both the Hoosier Huricane and Cornball Express to ride LoCoSuMo first. What can I say, I love this ride. Unfortunatley, even though the rain had stopped, it left the pusher wheels into the station wet, and the cars kept rolling back into the tunnel. It would be a little while until this was fixed, so I went over and schedualed my Sky Coaster flight, which was included with the event.
Since I was still fairly early, I got a time that was only about half an hour away. I was hungery, having not eaten yet that day, so some of the world famous tacos were in order. They are as good as I had been told, sort of sweet and spicy at the same time, and made for a good munchie the whole weekend.
This was the first time I had ridden a sky coaster. I have no fear of them, they are just expensive, and most times I feel that I have aready paid enough to get into the park, I don't want to pay more (usually a lot more) to ride a ride. But this time it was free

I admit, being hoisted up by a single cable is a bit nerve racking, but the free fall and swinging is pure joy, and I may do it again.
LoCoSuMo was now open, and with a short line too. In fact, all the lines would be short this night, the rain had chased the crowds away. Well, anyway, I think I like this ride even more now. They have continued to work on the coaster, making it smoother, yet still having that great out of control feeling. They have also added to the theming, adding some more tunneling, as can be seen here;

and reintroducing the waterfalls in front of the mountain. The coaster is still full of surprises, with its great little drops and sharp turns. It offers just a fantastic romp like no other coaster.
After enjoying my LoCoSuMo ride, I headed down the boardwalk and hit the other two wooden coasters, Hoosier Hurricane and Cornball Express.

HH was running pretty well after the rain, fast and smooth, with a good amount of airtime. It is a decent out and back that runs the entire length of the park, swooping under the suspention bridge and making its turnaround around one of the mini-golf courses.

Cornball Express, on the other hand, was running heavenly. This is truely a great, underrated coaster. It is not long, nor is it tall, but what it does with what length it has is fanominal. It has a fantastic turning first drop that runs right next to the log flume, so that if the timing is right, you may get a misting from the flume. A after a short airtime filled second drop you go into the amazing third drop, which is actually suspended out over the edge of the lake, so you are shooting under heavy steel supports while flying up
