First things first .. gorgeous day and absolutely GREAT park. I couldn't find one thing to complain about (well, lunch was a little small for the price .. but that's about it).

This park was clean, gorgeous, well-maintain... good capacity management ... I just was blown away.

I'll save the ride comments for the reviews, but I will say that NOT ONE SINGLE COASTER here was dissapointing in the least. Even the MAD MOUSE and CORKSCREW coasters were some of the most fun of their kind that I have ever ridden.

Of note, the BERENSTEIN BEARS area was beautifully themed and really has to be seen to be appreciated. The trees and shade were wonderful and the park was 100% clean.

My absolutely only real dissappointments were TWO. #1 was that there was no place to leave things while riding the coasters. In fact, no one would let me leave my glasses on any of the coasters. I'm not real fond of taking my glasses on coasters (mainly because if by some fluke I lose them, I'm screwed for the rest of the day), so that kind of bothered me a lil. Also, #2, the t-shirts were just not good. There wasn't one I was at least slightly desirous to buy, and I so really wanted a shirt from this park since I was so impressed with each coaster and the park itself.

Not really much to complain about there is there?? By the way, the disco ball of the fountain for the reflection was a small touch ... but a very cool one.

Oh well ...

The trip continues in the morning...

Good TR. How far away is VF from Mall of America?

Valleyfair was about 20-30 minutes from the Mall of America from what I remember.

I don't think it was even that far. My hotel was right next to the mall (literally next door), and ValleyFair was less than 20 min away. Granted, I make no guarentees I obeyed the speed limit.

Big Red, you might be waiting a while. They added a new one this year and the last new coaster was 4 years ago, and it was actually a replacement of an older similar ride. The last new coaster that wasn't meant to replace anything was built 7 years ago. Although they added the power tower 3 years ago.

I purchased a season pass at Worlds of Fun (CF) and hope to hit Valley Fair this WKND along with Cedar Point/PKI/Mich. Adventure in Sept. Thanks for the review John. Looking at the maps, Valley Fair looks similar to Worlds of Fun, glad you pointed a few things out.

Cedar Fair parks are often similar. Enjoy it, I know you will.
