First off, I'm sorry about the lack of pictures. I don't have a camera, and even if I did I just try to use as much of the time as possible to get on rides. I'll try to give as good of a mental picture as I can though. This is my first trip report and I would truly appreciate constructive criticism about how to improve.

Before this trip I had been to Knott's and remembered the trip twice before. The previous times I was too young to remember anything but bits and pieces. The first trip I rode my first "real" coaster Ghostrider, and the next I rode my first looper Montezooma's Revenge. This time the goal was to try my first hyper: Xcelerator.

My first impressions this time were bad because neither Xcelerator of Montezooma's Revenge seemed to be running. I saw all the rest running with Silver Bullet running the most as usual. By accident my dad ended up parking in the far away lot which ended up being the most luck we could have. Let me explain, on the way back a man who had apparently bought too many tickets for his group sold us five genuine tickets for $100! We saved $62! Although we were a bit worried that these could be well crafted fakes, they passed through the scanner without a problem which leads me to believe they were real. If not...um...I didn't know. The sign said that three attractions were closed that day: Revolution, Log Ride (which was expected), and another which I have forgotten. At any rate, it was obvious by this time that Xcelerator was not launching and I hoped it would open later.

My younger brother really wanted to go on Montezooma's Revenge so I took him on. He was nervous before and started to tear up with fear but I didn't want him to have bad memories about roller coasters and persuaded him to ride. The operators were loading very slowly which annoyed me because the line could move twice as fast. The launch was stronger than I remembered and the loop just as forceful. I had a glasses strap with me this time around and seeing where I was going made the ride much more fun. The spikes had more air than I remember last time, and by then my brother was smiling and we did the backwards loop. We went on the end spike, and I told my brother to hold on tight because this coaster has really choppy brakes. We both disembarked and I think my little brother found himself a new way to have fun.

After Montezooma, I dropped off my brother back with my parents and went to ride Silver Bullet. The operators here were loading efficiently, and the line moved very fast. It was more intense than I remember, and the back row shuddered very badly. I wonder what happened because last time this ride was very smooth and not forceful at all. After Silver Bullet I decided to go to the boardwalk and see what there was to do. It was at this moment that they started to testing Xcelerator and I quickly made my way to the line. I was one of the first to go, which made me uneasy because I wanted to see it launch at least once. For me the back is the most thrilling, so I made my way to the front. One train loaded up, and I watched it launch with disbelief at how fast it takes off. They were running one train, and soon it came back and I was supposed to board. A person behind me seemed to sense my fear when I said he could go in front and just told me that I should go on, after all it would not hurt me. I had about 5 seconds of courage and made it on before once again feeling nervous. I used this time to pull down the lap bar trapping me in so there was no escape. I forgot the seatbelt but was able to reach down and get it. My heart must have doubled it's rate until the ride rolled back. Suddenly I lost almost all my fear. 5 or so seconds later we took off and I instantly lost all the fear which became pure fun. Let me tell you, I heard Xcelerator had good airtime on the top, but this was insane! The rest of the ride was just good, but it made a good time to catch my breath. I quickly went back in line and rode in the ba
