BGEscape.com has posted a test run video of Griffon on YouTube. Check it out:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybea38oRC-w

Seeing the video's got me a little more excited than I was. I wasn't blown away by SheiKra and the aerial shots of Griffon haven't impressed me. This live video makes me feel a little better, it's just shorter than most BG coasters. At least it's a new ride and it's in VA! What do you guys think?

I loved SheiKra, it's in my top 5. I think this looks as good or even better than SheiKra, although I don't really like how they made the trains even wider. I think the 10 seater rows make the trains look too clumsy and big, it will be interesting to see how the G-Forces contrast from seat to seat with such a wide train.

Thanks for the link. The coaster looks Great. The Hill before the splash looks like it will provide some solid ejector air time.

I think the seats look cool. I can see why people would think they look clumsy though, they aren't aerodynamic. I'd like to try those outside seats. It looks like you'll be hanging completely out there.

You're right Swimace, with trains ten wide it will be interesting to see how the g-forces differ from different positions.

I'm not going to watch the video, because Griffon is the one new coaster I will actually be riding this year. I've seen pic.s, that's enough for me.

Nice. I like the look of Griffon, and I may get to ride it this year, so seeing it testing makes me happy!

CCTrack's actually going to another amusement park outside of Cedar Point that's not in Florida? That's a huge surprise right there .

Griffon looks ready to me, but they say it won't open until May.
I'm going next week to Busch Gardens with my school. Does anyone think they might move the date up?

They'll probably soft open the ride before May, but I doubt it will be next week. I haven't seen any Griffon construction pics in quite some time, but I would imagine that the station and queue area aren't ready for a soft opening stage yet.

I think this coaster looks awesome. I hope to see more installations of this type at other parks in the future.

Does anybody know how long it will be until other parks can build dive machines?
