Morey's Piers. Never heard of it. Thats what most people say. But yet, hidden behind all the boardwalk glitz and glamour is an amusement park. A damn fun amusement park. here is the story on me at that amusement park.

Me. Here. Who'da thought? But thanks to one younger sister, her soccer skills, and a good coach, we got free passes all weekend to Morey's because of BEACH BLAST 2006. It's soccer played on sand without shoes with a special ball. pretty fun. But that's besides the point. First pier I hit up was the one in the middle (I didn't take the time to memorize each one's specific name, sorry). Thats the one with the SEA SERPENT. I think it's the best ride there. It was my first boomerang, smoother than what everyone else says a boomerang is, and very very fun. After that, I hit the wild mouse, pretty standard, the MAELSTROM, very fun, and...some other stuff. Sorry, but it was a very long weekend.

After that I went to the pier with the great White on it. Mostly pay rides, meaning rides that arent on the wristband, the Great White was obviously the centerpiece of the pier. it was FUN. Couple pops of airtime, some negative g's. Pretty rough, but, then, its a woodie. Definitely good though. Then the Inverter. Hurt like a bad crap! Sorry for the nasty metaphor, but it did! I saw no less than half of the other riders come off rubbing their thighs, along with me. Definitely not fun.

Going down to the last pier, I'd have to say this might be the best one. I only went on about 3 rides here, but they were GOOD. First the great nor'easter, my second inverted. Not as good as my first (Talon) but definitely up their. The double cobra roll was excellent. The Zoom Phloom. What can I say that hasn't been said. It's long, excellent and the underground part is freakin' FANTASTIC. Just great. Dante's Dungeon. GAY. I'm sorry, but it went too fast, all the things did was come out at you, no sound effects no nothing. Sorry. GAY.

I rode some rides multiple times, mostly the three coasters (Sea Serpent is my favorite out of all three) and the Zoom Phloom. Fantastic pier though. Am definitely going back there this summer. And best of all, it got me in the mood for parks again. I'm back.

'06 Season @ Knoebels WILL BE GREAT.
New coaster, new bathrooms, new greatness.

Thanks for the Morey's info, despite the distasteful metaphor & socially inappropriate adjective to describe one of your less than satisfactory experiences - hoping to get there soon. Your experience will definitely help me head straight to the good stuff!

Well, that was a brief TR about Morey's Pier Knoebels. I can tell that you didn't seem to have a great park experience for that day, but we all have that sometimes. At least you can say that your family took you to a new amusement park outside of Knoebels. Morey's Pier has never seemed to impress me either, which's why I don't plan on going there anytime soon. It'll take more than the Great White & Great Nor'Easter to make me visit the boardwalks.

I hate Morey's. However, I'm considering making a trip there just to ride Great Nor'Easter and Great White because I wasn't able to hit those up on my last visit there.

How bad are lines & waits?

I really don't think that they're that bad considering how Morey's Pier will never be that huge destination place for many people to come & enjoy, so I think that their lines & waits can be compared to Williams Grove or so'em.

The typical line for a coaster at Morey's Piers on a busy night is about 20 minutes.

And RCGenius, Morey's is actually ranked #17 on the most visited US parks list in 2005 which is higher than Six Flags Great Adventure (at #20). Morey's saw about 3.1 mil visitors.

Is that Morey's or Wildwood itself? That number seems a little high to me for some reason.

Thats the numbers for Morey's Piers. It's not that unreasonable of a number considering how huge of a destination Wildwood is though. Anyone who goes to Wildwood and goes to the boardwalk is almost certain to go on one of the piers.
